Tunnel form system

Tunnel form system is usable for constructing concrete buildings, in which the walls and slab are executed simultaneously also for inserting doors and windows and other building installations.
This system is suitable for complex construction in comparison with other executive systems because of the speed and the quality of execution.
Other advantages of these concrete structures are: long lifespan, less maintenance and less repairing costs, high resistance for fire, noise pollution and earthquake, making the rigidity of building.

Special advantages of tunnel form system:
1. The structure is executed quickly so the capital will not be suspended.
2. The concrete structures have very good quality therefore the rendering costs will be omitted.
3. L-shape forms are easily moved by crane therefore shuttering costs will be reduced.
4. The forms are adjustable to different sizes so they can be used in different projects.
5. The forms are durable and have long lifespan.
Parts of tunnel form system
Tunnel form system includes the bearing wall forms as the vertical element and floor slabs which are concreted in-situ. This system includes below-mentioned parts:
1. Walls vertical form
2. Slab form (the width is equal half of two opposite walls spans)
3. Vertical form of the end wall of span
4. Special oblique props for adjusting the angle of slab form and for sustaining the loads.
5. Special vertical props with wheel to adjust the height and the angle of slab form and for sustaining the loads
6. Vertical adjustable bolts under the wall form
7. The wheels which are under wall forms for moving L-shape pieces also for transferring them to the lower platforms
8. Landing platform which is installed on lower stage and moves L-shape pieces to upper stages by tower crane
9. Lifting beam for moving L-shape forms
10. Opening forms
11. Outside forms with truss system or special oblique props
12. External bracket
13. External concrete pouring platforms
14. Finishing scaffold of external bracket
Construction with tunnel form system

To construct a building with tunnel forms, at first foundation is executed, dowel bars are placed in walls position and then kicker is executed. After that reinforcement is done by welded mesh and the tunnel form is moved to wall executing position by tower crane. In tunnel form systems each slab is executed between two walls and by two forms which cover the span. Then the wheels are disconnected from executed slab by adjustable bolt, and the form overlaps kicker concrete. Therefore it is adjusted by special vertical and oblique props.
After shuttering L-shape forms and slab reinforcement, kicker angle forms are assembled at the top of reinforcement of slab that can be executed lower walls and slab with upper kicker simultaneously. This kicker is executed in order to make disassembling easier. Wall forms are anchored to each other by tensile bolts.

When concrete pouring and hardening were done, the piece which connects slab forms of two L-shape pieces will be separated. Then L-shape pieces are separated from concrete by adjustable bolts and special oblique props, so the wall form is coming down on wheels. Each L-shape form (Half shell) goes out of span and is installed on landing platform at lower stage. Then lifting beam is installed and the form is ready to be used for the next stages.
